The New Zealand Venue Co. family have an opening for an innovative and enthusiastic Area Chef to join our team and work across our renowned Wellington venues!
An Area Chef's role is to support kitchen operations across a region of venues to produce and maintain superior food preparation and presentation standards within cost parameters that ensure operational success.

What will you bring to the table?
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Head Chef
- Proficiency in menu costing and ability to control and minimise wastage
- Constructing menus with new or existing culinary creations, ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
- Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimised kitchen processes
- Strong understanding of rostering and costing
- Implement and manage stock control, ordering, and checking of deliveries
- Good knowledge of helpful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, support, and mentor the team
- Ensure Food Safety and OH&S compliance to assist in minimising workplace incidents
- Food Safety Supervisor training and certificate
- A commitment to achieving outstanding sales results
- Ability to engage with the local community
