Wellington's original rooftop container bar, Dirty Little Secret, seeks an experienced and energetic Venue Manager to lead our already-established venue. 

Offering near-panoramic views of Courtenay Place and beyond, all days will be different working here! Dirty Little Secret is the most state-of-the-art venue to hit Wellington. Inspired by the laneway bars of Melbourne, our industrial-chic hideaway requires a Venue Manager with experience in managing high-volume food & beverage, who can think on their feet and handle many tasks simultaneously.

As the Venue Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the venue operations, ensuring that the venue is functioning effectively and efficiently. This venue requires a manager with a passion and drive to deliver exceptional experiences that can lead from the front.

Essential requirements:

  • 3+ years of Venue Management experience 
  • Work with and communicate effectively with all departments within the Head Office team
  • Understanding and ability to learn venue reporting and systems on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • P&L understanding and ability to deep dive into financials to analyse where there is an opportunity to grow your business
  • Ability to generate revenue-building ideas throughout all aspects of the business
  • Presence on the floor during peak service periods, including late nights and weekends
  • Write and control an effective roster
  • Ability to stocktake and investigate stock loss
  • Have a market awareness and trend analysis relevant to food and beverage in the area
  • Be able to implement and execute promotions throughout the business successfully
